To my beautiful, talented niece: Abigail Joy
Abby- I want to write you to tell you how blessed you are. God has blessed you with a very special family, both brother and sister, along with amazing parents who love you endlessly. Remember, to first be thankful. Thankful, that you have your family. Love your brother and sister. I see this in you. I have seen how you like to teach them, play with them, and help them. I see that they are not only your brother and sister but your best friends. Don’t ever lose that bond that you are already building. Cherish them; continue to love them selflessly as a big sister, watching out for them, protecting them. As I said, you like to teach. I tell this to my children all the time, “you are a teacher; your student is your sibling.” Ask yourself, what you want to teach your brother and sister. Ask yourself, how I can show them that I love them. I am consistently telling my children to ask what is loving towards one another. You have a big heart full of love, a big mind full of thoughts. With that in mind don’t lose your heart of love. Give your heart to God to mold and guide you. I enjoy listening to your continual thoughts, your mind is racing with so many great ideas. I want to encourage you to write. Write your thoughts down so that you don’t lose them. You have so many wonderful thoughts, to have them in a book to read and share later is priceless. As you have many thoughts to share, also, take time to stop and listen. Listen to those who you know love you, those who you trust, especially, your mom and dad.
Abby, you are a young girl with many talents. I truly believe that there is nothing you can’t do that you put your mind to. God has given you amazing athletic ability along with an amazing mind. Be thankful to God for your talent and praise Him. Realize that all this is from God and at any time he can take these from you. Being thankful to God should help you be humble. Not everyone has the same gifts so use your gifts to help them, to encourage them- humbly.
Abby, you are a creative artist. I love how you sit down and come up with your own types of crafts, colors, art. Continue to be creative in your artistic abilities. Like writing down your thoughts and keeping them in a book. Take pictures, scrapbook your artwork. You should store these somewhere to share with others or even just for yourself someday. I love your art work.
God has given you an amazing family, an incredible mind, great athletic ability, creative talents, a loving heart- be thankful in all these things and walk humbly with God. Be honest and true-always. Walk in God’s light that His light may shine through these talents/gifts he has given you.
Lastly- love- love with all your heart, mind, and soul. Love God, love your family, love your friends, and even your enemies. The Bible says that love is the greatest gift of all.. I believe you have this love- don’t let anything take this away.
Love your,
Uncle Ondray
